Delete Your Account

You have the right to delete your Rydon account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains how to request account deletion and what data will be removed.
⚠️ This action is permanent. Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Please make sure you have no outstanding trips, payments, or disputes before requesting deletion.
Option 1: Delete from the App
In-App Deletion Steps

Open the Rydon app and sign in to your account.

Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.

Confirm your identity and tap Delete My Account.

Your account will be scheduled for deletion within 30 days.
Option 2: Email Request
If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request to our support team from the email address associated with your account:

What Gets Deleted
- Your account profile (name, email, phone number, profile photo)
- Saved payment methods
- Location history and saved places
- In-app messages and notifications
- Ratings and reviews you have given
- Driver verification documents (after mandatory retention period)
What We Retain
Some data must be retained for legal and regulatory compliance even after account deletion:
- Trip records and payment receipts — retained for 7 years for tax and legal purposes under Ghanaian law.
- Driver verification documents — retained for 5 years after account closure as required by law.
- Fraud and safety records — retained where necessary to protect other users.
Processing Time
Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted. During this period, your account will be deactivated and you will not be able to take trips.
