Rydon Ghana ("Rydon", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what personal data we collect when you use our platform as a passenger or driver-partner, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it under the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). Please read it carefully before using our services.

1Who We Are

Rydon Ghana Limited is a technology company registered in Ghana that connects passengers with independent driver-partners through our mobile application. We act as the data controller for personal data collected through the Rydon Rider and Driver apps, and this website.

🔒 We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as described below.

With Other Users

When a trip is matched, passengers see the driver's first name, profile photo, vehicle details, and real-time location. Drivers see the passenger's first name and pickup location. Phone numbers are never shared directly — all calls and messages go through our masked communication system.

With Service Providers

We share data with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the platform, including providers of:

All service providers are bound by data processing agreements requiring them to protect your data and use it solely for services provided to Rydon.

For Legal & Safety Reasons

We may disclose information if required by Ghanaian law, court order, or government authority, or where necessary to protect the safety of users, third parties, or the public.

Business Transfers

If Rydon is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you at least 14 days before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

If you believe we have not handled your data appropriately, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission of Ghana at www.dpcom.gov.gh.

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data:

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If a data breach occurs that materially affects your rights or freedoms, we will notify you and the Data Protection Commission of Ghana as required by law.

9Children's Privacy

The Rydon platform is intended solely for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will immediately suspend the account and delete the associated data.

10Cookies & Analytics

Mobile app: The Rydon app does not use browser cookies. We use Firebase Analytics and crash reporting to understand app usage and fix issues. All analytics data is anonymised and aggregated before analysis.

This website: We use essential cookies necessary for the site to function. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. If we introduce optional analytics cookies in the future, we will request your consent first.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will:
